I Reject Your Reality: Obama on MythBusters

Plummeting approval ratings, one real war and another fake one, a new Republican wave of popularity, and a Wikileaks fiasco. President Obama's problems dictate direct and meaningful action. So tonight he appeared on the hit Discovery Channel show, Mythbusters to challenge Adam and Jamie to tackle a new myth.

The President, in a effort to advance an initiative to promote math and science programs, challenged the show's hosts to recreate Archimedes 'Solar Death Ray'. The myth that using only mirrors to burn ships off the shore has been busted in a previous show, but when the commander in chief asks you to do something again, you go along with it.

Note to Obama: With the talents of a group of experts who debunk myths, here is a list of things He should have challenged the gang to get together on. His citizenship, effects of Obamacare, how many times it's scientifically possible for someone to say hope, green energies, etc. But yeah, Republicans will love the death ray idea. Mr. President, the Darth Vader comparisons are gaining validity.

Upstate

The part of New York that Palmyra is in, well in short, is likely one of the coolest places on Earth.

I had planned a long explanation of why this was true, but I'm guessing the real reason is intangible. So for all you Europe rocks or NYC is the shiz...take a chill pill and realize I'm right.

What a sad circumstance

"What a tragedy the world has made us
What a terrible reality we have come to love
The bus we always seem to miss
The taunts of a few brilliant moments that remind
The heavy heart holding out hope
What a sad circumstance we seem to find
What a dark night our morning has become."

Yeah, Utah's move to the PAC-10 has been hard on me.

The Psych Effect

I was having a really bad day. Like one of those days that you begin to wonder if crawling into a closet in the fetal position is a good idea. But then...

I watched an episode of Psych. Oh Shawn and Gus, will your clever hilarity ever cease to entertain? Anyways, I highly recommend it. Wednesday 10/9c

The MLB may be more legit.

I have a thought on the record number of ‘No-No’s” this year in the MLB. Maybe the steroid era of baseball has ended after all the controversies, and the batters are getting schooled by the young pitchers who never got into ‘roids. Perhaps the raw talent of the numbies is overpowering the lack of cheating for the older guys. If that’s the case, then rock on. A new day in baseball, perhaps?

A Renewed Effort

Just installed an App on my iPhone to blog from it. I have been inspired by my little sister Britny to blog more often. It's not only therapeutic, but it also is a nice way to keep a journal! So blogosphere, look out! Bemorte is blogging away!
